  • Petroleum Commissioner extends Ishai license until 2016
On September 28th 2014, the Petroleum Commissioner in the Ministry of National Resources announced the decision to extend the Ishai license until February 29th, 2016. The Ishai license will be included in underway negotiations between Israel and Cyprus, on the signing of a framework agreement to consolidate joint development and production of joint fields.

  • Leviathan partners sign $15b deal with Jordan
In a first deal of its kind in Israel, the partners in the Leviathan natural gas reservoir have signed an agreement with Jordan, becoming Jordan's main supplier of natural gas in the near future. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed for the export of $15 billion of gas over 15 years.
  • Save the date: Israel Energy and Business Convention 2014
The Israel Energy and Business Convention 2014, which is convening for the 12th consecutive year, will take place on November 3-4 at the Dan Panorama Hotel in Tel Aviv. The convention brings together representatives of companies and senior Israeli and foreign policy makers, facilitating their meeting with the local financial and business community for professional, social and business-related gatherings and sessions on current and future technological, financial, and global trends in the energy sector.

  • Reminder: UOG 2014
UOG 2014, Israel’s International Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition, will take place on November 18-20 at the Dead Sea Resort Hotel & Spa, Dead Sea. UOG 2014 will primarily highlight and discuss the E&P and Investment opportunities in Israel, creating a knowledge platform for collaborations and partnerships. For the first time, global energy hubs will join forces with the Israel Oil & Gas industry.

  • Drilling operations started in Block 9 in Cyprus
According to 'Cyprus Mail' newspaper, drilling has started in Kogas and ENI's Block 9 in Cyprus. The Saipem 10000 ultra deepwater drillship was positioned to start drilling the seabed in order to find natural gas offshore Cyprus.
